Advent of Hope

There is a light

That flickers in the

Cold night,

A tiny beacon

Of hope for the world.

The glow of something

More than ourselves.

In this time of Advent,

When the night

Encompasses us

And the harsh winds blow

Cold against

All we hold dear,

God is near.

There is no darkness

That can overshadow

His Loving embrace

The hope of

A sunrise,

The miracle of

A star shining

Brightly in the

Deep blue winter sky.

The baby in a Manger lay,

With hope of

Another day…

coming.

Tonight,

The peace of God

Be with you.
